breakneck speed

As mentioned, I went to NYC last weekend. I stayed in New Jersey (near EWR) and took the train into Manhattan — it wasn’t really worth staying there when I had to be back at the airport at 7am anyway. The train ride was surprisingly tolerable and was only around 40 minutes to Penn Station. (This is coming from the girl who usually insists on a cab to/from the airport.)

On the way out of YYZ, the NEXUS machines were down. All four of them. We got into the “Air Crew” line with the pilots and customs was still pretty speedy. But still! It’s been a long time since I went through US customs or had my passport stamped by them. Why do they have to be so mean? I don’t remember the last time I was in New Jersey! This is why I have NEXUS in the first place.

We ended up just wandering around Manhattan, a little shopping, drinks with a friend who lives there, and of course… SHAKE SHACK.
